Savannah Attorney Andrew Conn of Conn Law Releases After the Wreck, a Free Georgia Car and Truck Accident Guide

Nov 4, 2026

Savannah, Georgia – Andrew Conn, founder and managing attorney of Conn Law, has released After the Wreck: What Savannah Families Need to Know Before They Talk to the Insurance Company, a free 94-page guide to Georgia personal injury claims for people hurt in car crashes, truck collisions, and medical errors in Chatham County. Andrew Conn is a Georgia personal injury trial attorney who built the book from the questions his clients ask most, many of them first answered on his podcast, Savannah Car & Truck Accident Law. The full book can be read online or downloaded as a PDF.

After the Wreck follows a claim in the order families face it: the first hours at the scene, the police report, the insurance adjuster, the filing deadline, what a claim is worth, and what happens when a medical provider causes the harm. The book explains Georgia’s modified comparative negligence rule under O.C.G.A. § 51-12-33, which bars recovery once an injured person is found 50 percent or more at fault. It also covers the signed expert affidavit that O.C.G.A. § 9-11-9.1 requires before a medical malpractice lawsuit can proceed.

Two chapters address commercial truck collisions, which the book ties to container traffic from the Port of Savannah on I-16 and I-95 through Chatham County. Another traces Georgia’s lack of a statutory cap on non-economic damages to the Georgia Supreme Court’s 2010 decision in Atlanta Oculoplastic Surgery, P.C. v. Nestlehutt, and explains the collateral source changes made by Senate Bill 68 in 2025.

The guidance in After the Wreck comes from more than a decade of trying injury cases in Georgia. Conn earned his undergraduate and law degrees at the University of Georgia and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2014. He spent ten years at a trial firm handling complex litigation before founding Conn Law in Savannah in March 2025, and he serves on the Executive Committee of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. He has been named a Georgia Super Lawyers Rising Star for ten consecutive years.

“I wrote this book because the gap between what a Georgia victim of negligence needs to know and what they know in the first week is large, and the insurer on the other side of the claim isn’t the one who is going to close it,” Andrew Conn writes in the book’s foreword.
