Belazzo Homes Pty Ltd is pleased to announce the firm's principals have now accrued more than 73 years of building history. The Son, Father and Grandfather have each served in the role of Head Builder. The dual occupancy homes Brisbane builder is noted for providing clients with complete stability and confidence when building a new home. Michael Wood launched Belazzo Homes out of his house on the Gold Coast in Queensland in 2015. The father of three came up with the word "Belazzo" as an anagram of his wife and daughter's names. Since then, the residential builder has grown to multiple staff, hundreds of contractors and more than fifty builds per year.
Michael comes from a family of builders dating back to 1946. This includes his grandfather, father, uncles, and brothers. His brother Matthew, is Belazzo Homes, construction manager. Michael remembers the moment of inspiration of following in his father's footsteps. He was walking past his dad's office one day at 14 and saw him drawing a house on his drafting table.

"I remember thinking to myself it would be really satisfying to be able to draw something and then build it," he stated.
Michael became an apprentice carpenter with his father’s building company and later went onto to study architecture at university. While still at university, he worked in an architect’s studio drafting plans. He has worked in the construction industry in various roles including estimator, site supervisor, construction manager and general manager for fifteen years.
In a recent interview, Michael explained, "Belazzo Homes is not the place to go if you are looking for a kit home. We design your custom-built home for the specific needs of your family and location. We are excited by the challenges that you will bring, through your unique requests and innovative design ideas. We go above and beyond to help you put together the one-of-a-kind design you have in mind."
